Funding and finance
The overall funding target for the GICR is approximately US$ 3 million per year, or US$ 15.2 million over the 5-year period of 2018–2022.
For the period of 2018-2020, a budget of US$ 10.7 million is required.
The operating costs for coordination and technical consultancy are US$ 3.4 million.
The majority of funds (US$ 7.3 million; 69%) are for direct country-level support.
Of these, collaborative agreements constitute the largest proportion (US$ 2.8 million), followed by US$ 1.6 million for travel (consultancies, knowledge exchanges, and network meetings).
Regional training events are estimated to cost US$ 1.4 million.
