Vision
The aim of the GICR is to save lives.
This vision is built on the understanding that an accurate measure of the cancer burden drives improvements in health-care systems through national cancer control planning.
Over time, this translates to better health, economic, and social outcomes.
Together with a leading group of partners, the GICR is making this possible by helping transitioning countries to build their capacity to collect local cancer data, synthesize the data, and disseminate findings, so that targeted actions can be taken to tackle the rising cancer burden.
