The Global Initiative for Cancer Registry Development in Low- and Middle-Countries is formed and supported by international, regional, national organisations, cancer registries as well as cancer registration professionals.

No fee is charged for joining GICR, however a commitment is expected towards:

• contributing to increase the visibility of the Initiative
• helping advocate to relevant authorities the role of cancer registration within the framework of cancer prevention and control, for improved patient and population outcomes
• contributing to identify direct support for GICR activities
• fostering knowledge transfer through sharing of expertise
