With a vision to lead through collective action, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) together with key partners has developed six Regional Hubs. The focus is on empowering countries to develop cancer control plans by providing support and sharing knowledge. Key activities in each region are to provide localized training and tailored support, to foster research and to assist with advocacy and the development of networks. GICR will be active in 20 low- and middle-income countries by 2020 and a further 30 by 2025.
